When we surrender through our will, we give God complete control of our lives. Surrendering in the body is choosing to take care of the temples God has made. We surrender to God in our minds by taking our thoughts captive to line up with the Word of God. We choose to think about things that are pure and holy. But, as believers, surrender is total abandon to our Creator. He is the One who made us, and we give Him full reign in our lives - mind, body, and will. When hearing the word surrender, one can have a variety of internal responses. Surrender can be compulsory, like in a battle, or voluntary, like riding in an airplane.
I have been crucified with Christ it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
